Hebden Bridge Street

In 2000 I looked at buying a house here, at the time it was a very New Age type of place - though it's gone more up market since then being within easy commuting distance of Halifax, Leeds and Manchester. It has kept it's small town appeal and it's main streets are not clones of every other town.

I couldn't decide on the mono or colour versions, so here are both........

It’s a few years since I visited this place ... it looks really quaint still though . I prefer the colour version as it showcases the lovely colours in the cobblestones ...  and the floral displays. I might have been unable to resist ( in fact I’m certain  I would have been unable to resist ) removing the telephone wires though ... it’s always a bit contentious .... removing stuff that isn’t a transient intrusion on an image.      I imagine the same view in winter  would fit well into a sepia or mono version ...
