Life's Work Done

Thanks for the feedback all.

I love FMS's work Fuji.  There is a tendency to think that Street Photography is a fairly modern concept, but he was effectively recording every day life in the street and elsewhere in and around Whitby at the turn of the last century.  I suppose that strictly speaking his images are documentary but I like to think of him as a early pioneer of street.  You reminding me of him has caused me some concern.  When he was rediscovered through some of his glass plates being used as green house glasses, I bought a small paperback booklet of his work which I can't now find.  Must go and have a rummage.

I can see why you say that Mono and you are of course right but it isn't untypical of what I was seeking to re create.

It reminded me too of SUTCLIFFE'S work John... I have a couple of copies of his prints ... It 's a well processed image and i really like  the oof background  which  gives it a real 3d feel.. Beautifully executed ... I'd have that  in a frame anyday ...
