Looking at this again - do the stripes on the steps on the right of the picture give away that it's a present-day photograph?
If so, would it spoil the composition to crop that bit out?  Or if so, would it look better if that area was cloned or darkened right down?

Thanks for the input Gareth.  I could darken the stripes but quite honestly it wasn't my intention to try and recreate an vintage scene.  There are a number of beautifully preserved Victorian (?) stations on that particular line through the Dales and I just wanted an interesting setting for the locomotive.  It was very late in arriving as it turned out and the light was almost at dusk.  A lot of selective PP was needed and I may have accentuated the contrast in that area without noticing it.  Not sure.
