Prefer the colour version Rye.  This is one of the more interesting depictions of a much photographed building.  Usually seen as an unremarkable record but this version adds that bit extra.

Love these....

They remind me of an illustration from a Fairy Tale.....

Y’know....the one about Rumple Stiltskin, who hung his hair out of the top window, as he lay on a dozen mattresses with a single pea underneath...

Thanks FUJI, I think you're getting your fairy tales mixed up: the one with the pea was called The Princess and the Pea, Rapunzel was the girl who lived in the tower with long hair and Rumplestiltskin was the one who spun straw into gold.

The Tower was built in 1910 by Lord Leverhulme as part of his extensive Rivington estate. He also had built a scale replica of the ruins of Liverpool Castle.
