Arrows over Windermere

The discussions on the Lancaster / Hurricane / Spitfire yesterday prompted met to look back at some of my own aircraft shots.  This was taken in 2009 at the Windermere air show and its my favourite shot that I've taken of the Red Arrows.
Canon EOS 10D with a Canon 75-300 lens.  1/2000 @ F5.6.  Re-processed today in the current version of Lightroom.

a terrific image Hatter. What I call the hand, that shot when the smoke forms a hand and the aircraft look like they are escaping from its grasp, I have a similar shot in my files,

This is well timed Gareth in that I suspect that catching them against the smoke has been more effective than against the sky.  Symmetrical as a BG as well. Nice shot
