This is what our ..... just in the shade thermometer was showing just now circa 3:30 pm ...the open veranda faces almost  due South....that opaque roof is UV blocking plastic, thank goodness.

i am rendered helpless, can’t concentrate on anything I get so uncomfortable.

Apparently the heatwave is going to last until October....

Unloading at a warehouse today and the truck was backed onto a loading bay direct into the sun, the outside temp sensor with the heat of the tarmac under the truck was reading 47.5 C.

I was going to be away in it tonight but got home albeit late, I didnt fancy another hot night in the cab overnight. late start tomorrow, hence why I'm still up with every door and window open in the house!

It's been a bit cooler here today at 23c and quite cloudy so didn't feel as warm, still showing 16c even now....

Our solar heated hot water was flowing out of the tap at 72 Centigrade at 5pm yesterday.....that is flippin’ Hot.

We have hardly used any gas thus summer, so should make up for the overuse during the....Beast-from-the East ....period of early Spring.
