Two more from an afternoon walking around Foulshaw Moss.  It is a little wilder than most reserves and the WEB site warns of adders but thankfully, I didn't see one.  The indecision would have been unbearable.

The Black Darter is a new one on me but I seem to have captured both male and female during the visit. (I always need to look these things up when I get home.)

Some nice dragonflies, not seen many this year and my local spot - Lomeshaye Marsh had almost dried up by the beginning of June, so don't know what it's like now after another 6 weeks of virtually no rain.

Thanks Gareth.  I don't try to use anything like a macro lens.  I use a 55-200 zoom and select the ISO for a decent shutter speed.  That means that I don't need to get too near, especially for something like these.  They are quite small.  The BG in the second shot Is grass.
