My task next week, clear out the shed. Is there any wonder it's full of mice!

When you're clearing it out, let me know if you come across an Abercrombie & Jenkins AJ27 bacon slicer. Built in Wolverhampton in 1936, it was supplied to just about every Co-Op in the East Riding.

Been looking for one for ages to complete my collection - needs to be the AJ27, mind.

It has to be said that it's a good few years since the back of the shed saw the light of day, but you never know.
Being the aficionado that you are you'll be well aware of the worth of a genuine AJ27? I recall a few years ago the same model demanded a 5 figure sum and, it has to be said, was in quite a sorry state.

Retirement, 'tis a lovely word!

Hmmm... it's Friday and I've been at work all week and haven't touched my camera.  But all is not lost... it's the Bedford River Festival this weekend...as long as I can resist the temptation to stay in for England tomorrow AND stay in to watch the final on Sunday!

Surely not .....

At first I thought the  mono was a conversion of the colour version of  St Mary's lighthouse ... then I saw you had moved to get the full reflection of it in the latter ...

On reflection ( ouch ..... ) I think the  mono pips the colour to the post  by a very short head for me ...

In hindsight I should have gone a little earlier to get deeper pools but I had fun trying to line up the lighthouse with what was there.

I haven't watched that series but people keep going on about it so I might use the Sky box and download a few....see what the fuss is about.

Spent yesterday with friends in Staffordshire - we sat in their lovely garden eating meat and cheese and olives and crusty bread and then followed 'em up with jam & clotted cream scones. Much better than watching that there tennis on that there television.

And I got a can of Austrian beer to bring home. Luverly!

Anyone doin' owt trivial today? If so, you know where to post it!

Apologies for my inactivity this week, hardly had a camera out at all, but it's lovely to catch up and see what you have all been doing. Some really nice pictures too - looks like you are definitely having a Summer!

The only ones I have are these - taken on Friday morning as I walked the girls, our house has disappeared!!!!!

And just a couple of quick grab shots through the lounge window as a nice honeyeater came to check out a geranium flower:

but he was a bit heavy for the flower stem and whoops, upside down!:

Hopefully will do a bit more this next week.
