AN OLD FLAME

Recommended Posts

I have been trying something new this morning....a little creative Photography featuring an old blow lamp from my dusty workshop and a push or three from the HDR filters in Nik Efex.

HDR isn't usually used on still life photography...but, rules are there to be broken....so I did.

t works!

I am very happy with these results.

Now here's a first for me..I'm actually going to offer an opinion to say that I find the second image just a tad over saturated fuji. But then you may have done that on purpose, or it may be my monitor.

Hi, Denis...

Good on yer.......comments and observations on all of my pics very welcome always.

You are right....the over saturation and added textures are what HDR filters do..... they aren’t usually used for Still-Life pics like this.

I deliberately broke the rules....just for the devil of it.

That's a great subject for a photograph and the mono works best for me.

I do think, though, that it might have been simplified to just the blow-lamp and the old photograph. Those two items would look superb together.
