Super set Beepy but the first one is outstanding in my opinion .. almost monolithic feel  and such an innovative view using such a huge piece of masonry to dominate the  image .. I love this ... the angle of the edifice against the sky, the picture within the picture seen  through it, the clouds leading lines in the sky the textures and the wee houses .... all beautifully adding to a superb bit of photography ...   classy stuff young man !!

I like both of these as images and because each raises questions.  What is the structure in the first?  It's a pretty massive piece of concreting and presumably has/had a purpose.  Whatever, it's been used to good effect in the comp.  The second is intriguing because of the anonymity of its size.  It could be massive or it might just be small but magnified by the WA lens.  The only clue seems to be the size of the Limpet on the nearest rock.  Not that any this matters.  Two nice images.

A couple of nice images, I prefer the second it almost looks like some sort of sea monster swimming along, there's even an eye and that shell could almost be a flipper....

Hahahaha - I hadn't noticed that.

BP - Is there a story behind the construction in the top picture? :chris:

There used to be a pair of wooden towers on top of this and a series of ropes, buckets. Rock from the nearby quarry (now the main carpark) was moved here and loaded onto ships.
All long gone.

John the rock was noticeable from a distance, it caught my eye at least, but not huge.
