I have never seen a stork  in the flesh so to speak Rye ...   I’d have been very pleased to have caught these two on camera . They are really big aren’t they ..  very nice indeed.

Thanks Clicker, they are new additions to WWT Martin Mere bird gardens, they're about the size of herons and the last breeding pair in the UK was 600 years ago, they're rare visitors to the UK...

But not uncommon just across the North Sea. I saw several in a field from the train from Hoogeveen to Amsterdam last week (also a purple heron!).
