Looks a bit like the Wild West  ... or even Scotland .. fabulously vast scene captured there ... interesting cloud formation top right  too ...  yeah it doesn’t look really cold so I see what you mean ... deceptive sunshine and blue skies....

The thing about Iceland is, that once you get away from the tourist route of the Golden Circle, you can go for ages without seeing anyone, or any houses - thats what it looked like for miles in some areas of the north

When I see images like this, I just want to go there.  Nearly did on the way back from Canada a couple of years ago but decided it was worth more than just a few days stop over.  Very nice capture of something other than the much published iconic views that you normally see.
