Two good shots BP and I like the way you've got the flare - hopefully caught in camera and not added afterwards....

The lighthouse has a proper old fashioned skinny lens s you get a few seconds 'flash' at regular intervals. Just had to time the longish exposure to catch it and let the stopped down lens produce a nice star.

The first image is a three shot exposure bracket, HDR'd to emphasise the mood. I didn't need three shots for the dynamic range of the scene but wanted the oomph you sometimes get when the software combines them...just dialled it right back so there is no tone mapping added.

The second shot is actually 20 individual frames loaded into a layered stack in Ps then blended down to increase the amount of surf blur.

Great shots but #2 is a novel way of getting more interest in the surf than just a long exposure. Nice!

Never tried that.  I've tucked that one away.
