Is there any camera you regret not still having

Recommended Posts

If so tell us what it is and why, a couple of images to show why liked about it would be nice.

First i would have to say the Nikon D500, it is great for action shots, the only reason i sold mine was i

couldn't handle it with a 600mm on,  i only had a 100-400 which was too short.

The other camera i miss and may get again is the Nikon P900 bridge camera, great for small birds in the mid to close range

Nice shots. I had all Nikon gear for many years but I can no longer carry the weight of DSLR gear. I wish I had changed to M4T long ago. My 100-300mm Panasonic lens shoots at 600mm in 35m terms which I can easily handle.

Many years ago, I sold a shortwave communications receiver that I had built, to a friend and used the money to buy a Kodak Retina IIIC 35mm film camera (£30).  By that time the SLR had become the must own camera and rangefinder cameras were no longer as sought after.  Over time, the shop (now long since defunct) allowed me to rummage through some drawers they had behind the counter until I eventually had assembled a full kit.  The Retina series came with a 50mm Xenon lens that had an interchangeable front element. I eventually acquired the 35 mm and 80mm conversion lenses together with a dedicated Leica style shoe mounted viewfinder (rotating eye piece type) and a full set of red, green , blue and green filters, all in their dedicated leather cases.  A few years later, I part ex'd the lot for my first Minolta SR1 SLR.  Oh how I wish ...……………………...

Out of the hundreds of cameras and camera systems I've owned the ONLY one I've regretted not still owning is my Contax G outfit. To be fair I probably wouldn't use it and the lenses are a PITA to adapt to the Fuji but there was just something about that camera that I loved and it hangs about nagging at me.
