Hockney to the Fore

Recommended Posts

The posts by Clicker and Corky reminded me of this.  Taken at Salts Mill.  Fuji X with an 8mm Samyang Fisheye mounted.

I like that very much, John. The fisheye has given it a great look and feel.

What he said 👆

A square subject wouldn't have had anywhere near the same impact.

Fabulous John ... ...what's not to love about Hockney whatever lens you use .. but it really does bring his work to the fore  with this rendition ... love it ...

Top photograph, but as for the paintings.......not my idea of 'art' whatsoever.

Thanks all.  I spent a whole afternoon at Salts Mill both enjoying the art and the opportunities the place presented.  Well worth a visit.

I've only been to Saltaire the once, my sister live in Shipley for a few years and she said she saw salmon and otters in the river near Salt Mill.

I've often thought about getting a fisheye lens, but the Canon ones always seem so expensive.
