A couple a great images John, I spent ages last year around Pendle looking for Curlews.

Not many about this year.  They are on the RSPB endangered list but there are about two areas in the UK where they breed and the area around the Trough of Bowland is one.  This time of year they should be up there doing their thing before take off for he coast but as I say not many around.

I saw quite a few yesterday around the Trough of Bowland, also seen and heard quite a few up around Pendle this year (and last year) and at Wycoller the year before but didn't end up with many good shots of them.

Clicker, I was surprised to find that they are on he RSPB Red List for birds who's populations have dwindled by more that 50% over the last 25years or who's breeding range has shrunk by a similar amount.

Probably accounts  for it then John... makes me feel slightly better in that I 'm not guilty of  being really unobservant...
