My mixed bag of 'classic' lenses is coming along nicely. Nothing spectacular just £5 charity shop/junk shop finds...plus my old Nikkor-H that I inherited from my father. I've lots of others lenses but I'm trying to build a 'cheap' range of focal lengths that can be shot as a collective.

Left - to - Right

Tamron 200mm f3.5 AD2
Mamiya/Sekor 135mm f2.8
Helios 44-2 2/58 - front element reverse modded
Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar 50mm f1.8 (radioactive) Zebra
Hanimex Wide-Auto 35mm f2.8
Nikkor-H 28mm f3.5

A few shots from some of them taken this morning while out testing the mamiya/sekor which I just picked up yesterday...

Dog/wooden post/black plastic - mamiya/sekor

Yellow flowers/gorse - Helios

Cityscape - Tamron

Not over keen on the Helios rendering but that's personal taste.  The rest demonstrate that nothing should ever go to waste.  They may be old but they are decent performers.  What camera are you mounting these on BP?

This particular Helios has had the front element reversed to produce the (admittedly mental) swirly rendering. I have three others (another 44-2 a 44m and a 44m-4) that are pinging sharp but still swirl a little on the edges.

I'm using them on a Fujifilm X-T1

The Mamiya/Sekor 135mm renders well to my eye, nice find. If you stumble across a Yashica ML 50 1.7 (Alu' edged rings, s/n A2000***) grab it BP.

Cheers, I'll keep an eye out.

I have a Pentax AF 50mm f1.7 which is nice and a Carl Zeiss Planar 50mm f1.4 T* which is a bit special.

Still looking for a Planar 1.4 T* at sensible money BP, I suspect car boot sales are my only hope. :8_laughing:

Imagine spotting a burgundy/brown Contax ERC with a low price on it - just the thought of what’s inside would get me giddy.
