Glen River - Newcastle

Recommended Posts

No not that Newcastle, Newcastle NI. This is part of the walking route through the forest following the Glen River to the top of Slieve Donard.

It's been a little while since I posted last at tipf as I don't make much camera time these days, but I thought I'd drop in with a shot or two from the back catalogue.

I was clearly into the silky flowing water thing that day.

I prefer number 2 as well, the colours, and water flow looks better for me. :12_slight_smile:

I also prefer the second image, it reminds me of The Strid near Bolton Abbey

My older brother and I climbed to the top of Slieve Donard in 1959.
My mother was furious with him for taking me up there, but I was the one who got the box on the ear.
(It was worth it, though)

Thanks for the feedback. It's interesting that I threw the second image in as a bit of an afterthought, yet it's the favourite.

Jacqui, you and your brother preceded my first climb by 50 years. It's a lovely walk.

Pic 1 does it best for me - I like how the little trickles of water take my eye diagonally across the image. Very nice!
