Having seen some really nice short video's of the NE coast posted by BP I decided to get Adobe Premiere Elements and take a dive into video. My plan came to a quick halt today when I found out I did not even know how to shoot a "movie" on either the X T2 or 7d. So its back to the instruction book.

Any tips?  :1_grinning:

On all of my recent cameras there has been, or is, a small red recessed button that switches the camera to instant video mode and shooting....

There is also a video-mode on the selection dial, on which you also choose A...P.....M......S....etc

This was shot with my old SONY ALPHA 77 ...simply by pressing that red button...

The Air Ambulance had been called to assist paramedics tending to an elderly neighbour who had fallen badly whilst gardening.....he was ok after a check-up in A&E.

I've been doing some video of late, too and it's quite gripped my interest.

The best tip I can come up with is to get (or, better still, make) a small bean bag to carry around instead of a tripod. It's amazing how it can turn a bench or a fence or a wall or a tree stump into a steady and safe place to shoot a ten or twelve second video clip.

Mine's been home made and is filled with rice - it does a superb job, too!
