Birmingham Canal Tunnels

Stravinsky

Recommended Posts

I've been piecing together fading memories of running on the towpaths in the late 80's and early  90's  (with the help of  Open Street Map) to work out where they are. Am I right in thinking that the tunnel is where the railway crosses the Birmingham & Fazeley canal? -- Dropping down past the BT Tower was only for long runs so it's a lot less remembered than the bits from the University to Gas Street and through Bournville to the Hawkesley tunnel.

This is actually on Livery Street, thats the street you can see at the top, so the street runs down from Snow Hill towards the Jewellery Quarter
