Nice images, good to see they got it away - last I heard they were going to move it by road (that would have been a sight to see.

From my office windows I have Durham Cathedral to my left and I can see the approach to Durham station through the trees to my right, but every time Tornado goes past she blows her whistle, so that window gets blocked by the "Train blokes" (I don't know how they wangled those seats) so I've heard her but never seen her in the flesh

It’s supposd to be here Good Friday at the Severn valley Railway! !  I saw it at Bridgnorth in 2008  I think it was ..  I’ll have to look up my photos ... a magnificent beast ... built here in the Uk ... the first to be built here since the sixties I think . Fabulous photos Rye  really first class work ...

Thanks Rye ... I was following the report on Wednesday  in the Yorkshire Post ...

https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/steam-locomotive-tornado-is-trapped-in-yorkshire-after-a-bin-lorry-struck-a-bridge-1-9062190

in which it said it was due  at SVR. on Friday  ... naturally I assumed it was the next Friday ....    thanks  for clearing that up for me ... ;)
