Haven't seen any Bush Crickets or Katydids around for ages, then, on Monday we spotted a Bush Cricket that had fallen into one of our bird watering containers, grabbed a camera to record it:

Yes we rescued him and put him in a safe spot to dry out:

But he did look rather 'grumpy' for quite a while, until he disappeared:

WOW! Dee, these are some of your best yet...

Amazing detail of a fascinating looking insect.......

 

The one in the first pic shows very clearly that he/she is half drowned...I didn’t realise that insects had....expressions.
