Miscellaneous Birds

At the BBOWT reserve at Chimney Meadows.

A long-tailed tit -- there was a flock feeding on and by the path quite near to me:

A Chaffinch, under the feeders:

And a water rail doing what water rails usually do -- skulking in the undergrowth so not the greatest shot. Its the first time I've seen one here, and also the first time I've seen one so far from the water as the pond was quite a way away and the rail was in amongst the dry undergrowth and brambles, and only occasionally popping eve that far into the open.

There's a place local to me where I go watching birds and Long Tailed Tits always arrive in flocks, problem is they always tend to land directly on the feeders or tables....

No tables or feeders in the vicinity on this occasion.
