Bath by night

Stravinsky

Two very nice  images  Strav... the former full of atmosphere  and mystery and maybe even a little  apprehension... the latter an iconic street  showing Georgian architecture at its very best ... Love the shadows of the railings in the foreground and the  even though the cars are replacing  horses and carriages  they don't detract  from the  image at all for me ...  I really like these two ...

Thanks, lovely place Bath.  The top one was taken balanced on a rubbish bin in the middle of the street as I hadnt got my tripod with me.  Trouble is with Bath that there are cars parked absolutely everywhere, even if you get up at 6 in the morning.

Oh SO disappointed......here was me expecting to see  a lovely,  bathing in the moonlight....ah well! We can but dream. ?

Seriously though, the first shot is an absolute cracker, just oozing atmosphere and a very real, sense of place.

Pleased to see a yellow ribbon  around your image(s)  Stravinsky...  a result of at least 5 likes... mine was specifically for the misty  street view ...  love it

Oh OK, cool .... I didnt know about the yellow ribbon thing :1_grinning:

Great images, you have a very distinct style, which I actually like. I checked out your website and there are some great images on there.

Thanks .... I'm not sure what style I have to be honest .... I'm always open to critique though ... I know sometimes I push it a bit but when I look back to the days when a lot of my stuff was HDR, I feel a little happier about what I'm doing :1_grinning:

I'm talking about a number of the shots on your site, rather than necessarily the ones you have posted here. The HDR ones can look a little posterised or painting like, but i like a lot of those. You can clearly spot a good image. :1310_thumbsup_tone1:

Thank you ...... would it suprise you to know then that there are no HDR shots on my site :1_grinning: .  I'm guessing it might be the effect that NIK Colourefex has sometimes
