Extremely hot day so we kept our birdie drinking water up in several spots. These were all taken through the lounge room window - two Honeyeaters and female Fairy Wren, all panting and thirsty. At least we could help.:

Polly we reached 43Cdeg yesterday - way too hot to do much except 'shut down' in the air con. Birds literally drop dead from the sky in those temperatures, but we luckily didn't have any.

It's 33Cdeg just now and is only heading to 36Cdeg today, and there was a nice cool Southerly breeze. When we get the Southerly it comes straight from the coast, even though that is 300 klms away from us, and it is very refreshing.
