Yes it's Christmas  week, and we are heading into a new year so lets make this week quite open for the challenge. Post a picture, old or new, of something you are looking forward to - it could be a picture of a place you want to visit again, or of a nice bottle of something you are going to have, we could even have a bit of 'bah Humbug' if someone puts a picture of a Christmas pudding! Think about this next week, and next year - what are you looking forward to having, seeing, going to, finding again, listening to or whatever?

Post from now until midnight 29 December and the voting will then follow.

As Rye  or I can  usually be found on here about  midnight on Friday nights, (being night owls) maybe one of us can ensure that the poll is closed  at midnight to avoid  this  happening in future ..

Well done Lord K .... I see the theme of textures on images  taken from today are the order of the week this time .... ... Ooooh I do love a bit of texture ....;)

You can set the Poll to automatically close at a certain date/time - though not sure if that's something just available to Mods though. Yesterday was probably one of the few times I went to bed on a Friday before midnight.

Sorry if I missed that one vote was late. Because we are 11 hours apart I tried to look at the closest time to midnight, your time, that I could and there was then  only one extra vote that put Korky ahead - I have seen that another vote came in, but I didn't count that one in the result.

I'll probably try the auto voting closed thingy next time - if I ever get there again!

I was up in Northallerton and then Teeside  since Tuesday for a family party  so I wasn't around  till this afternoon either Rye ... I   think it is only staff who can close the poll... so ... we can do it between us I think eh ...

I honestly feel that this compo is dribbling down the tubes and we need something to replace it.

Any thoughts, anyone? Or should I start a dedicated thread so that we can discuss? And I don't mean a mod's thread, I mean a general thread.
