My little cat Cali, she does make a good subject but I do have to set up all the lights first and then herd her into the front room..............and then about 50 shots so I can get her in focus, looking at the camera with her eyes open. Keeping their attention and looking at the camera is a lot harder with cats........

The Sigma 30mm f1.4 is great  for his kinda closeup yet keeping the background blurred
