LOCAL WINTER BLUES

Recommended Posts

A selection of shots taken as I walked into town at 09:45 this morning.

It had been snowing from 05:00 ish and was still snowing when I looked out of the window recently circa 19:40 hrs so more has piled on since I shot these.

The problem for the motorists was that gritting trucks cant do their work on heavy falling snow....the consequences were that the build up on the roads even in town caused much slipping and sliding, especially from smaller vehicles or those with inexperienced drivers.

1: Windswept Snow on Bridge   2: The Wisteria in our backyard   3 The view in our  Back Lane towards town......    4 : The view on our Road looking towards the Castle       the incline and acute RH bend at the top were causing all kinds of problems for many drivers.

Posted so Dee and Brian can see our current weather.

Thanks for that, Fuji. True, Dee and myself just don't know what we're missing and I thank God that it has only ever happened once in Wedderburn to my knowledge. Fortunately, before my time, as I'm not a snow lover.

#1 is a cracker. I feel cold looking at it!
