We are getting to some warmer weather and that means our 'lizard friends' are getting more active. Spotted this one sunbathing in a classic pose on an old fence post. He was not too happy when I went nearer to get a close up, and he jumped down and took off at high speed.:

Just wonderful Dee......

By the way, that fence post and rusty barbed wire would be in the Tate Gallery if it were here.

Seriously......you could do a whole photo series on your local fence posts, it they are looking like this one.

Thanks all. :D

Kev we have heaps of little skinks around now, but they are hard to catch. Fuji, never really thought about the look of our old fence posts, I'll have a 'different look' at some of our local ones.

John these ones usually 'freeze', which he did for a few seconds, but then  he took off. Rye this was a Bearded Dragon and was about 14 inches in length - we have one living on our block but haven't found him yet!
