Really thoughtfully constructed viewpoint Bill, makes for clever balance in this urban scene, taking one through the streets of this Yorkshire town ..... lit by the lamps and what looks like a dawn blush .  That important light on the handrail cannot be underestimated or the position of the distant church tower ...in my opinion .   Another fine example of  your craft  Bill .

Glad you avoided the usual viewpoint that's becoming a bit clichéd.  You must have been up early.  I've never seen this street without anyone about.  The balance between the dawn (I assume), the light on the buildings and the lights in the street is perfect.  Patience or PP doesn't really matter, it's right and produces a very nice result.

Thank you for the comments Guys. The photo was taken in the evening. Higher up for the cliched view? Well;

1. it is a cliche

2. Far too many steps to climb.

3. That far up and there would have been another tog in my shot by the time I got up there :10_wink: but I did move up and stand beside him for a few other shots later but still below the well known view.

And there was me thinking  you were an early bird Bill .... :lol:

I did dawn the next day but by October the rise and fall of the sun are at quite sociable hours :1_grinning:
