IN HER STRIDE

That’s a nice one.   That is a stride with purpose. The balance of this shot is good for my eyes.   I like the other 2 people walking a direction 90 degrees to the main subjects direction.   Suits it.  Lovely range of tones gives it a good quality touch.

I do love the way you continually manage to come up with some really great street photography, and especially using some of these weird and wonderful manual lenses you keep finding. I suppose it's like anything else, the more you practise and use your eye the easy it becomes. I know from our day out in Stratford, you always had your eye open for opportunities, I know I gained a insight on street photography by watching you and listening from that brief few hours in Stratford. Actually I think watching and seeing other photographers at work is a great way of learning, because you say to yourself - 'What has he/she seen that I've missed'?

I know Denis said the same thing after the first TIPF BDO in York. I think he said to us all that he considered himself a 'happy snappy' but after watching everyone he said it helped a lot, and I think it showed in later images and those taken on the day...

Thank you both....

I too like the balance here and the way that the vintage lens has separated to main subject, from the whole...f 2 is the way to go with it for Street work.

I come from the school of.....Learning Through Doing.....it was my way of teaching too, you can’t beat it.

That lens has a cult following on the Fuji X groups - its a bit special wide open.

That is why my Olympus-shooting pal asked me to take great care of it...very generous of him to loan t to me whilst he is about to have a hip replacement; he will be out of action for some weeks afterwards.

By then I will be very reluctant to return the lens and it’s double adapter .... Thank goodness for the excellent ...Focus-Assist lights in my GX7.....they are very accurate.
