Both for men and horses, especially the right-hand horse who is always in the cut ground. They were taking quite long breaks between furrows, and the last image was of the last furrow they ploughed as the horses were starting to get a bit grumpy. Turning is quite a performance, as the second image shows.

Hi James... these heavy horses are beauties ... it's a real skill to control them and the equipment behind them to plough a straight furrow and the competitions  are a way to keep these skills alive . I like the low point of view of the last one setting the horses against the sky..
