Fascinating  things Panopticons,.... and are these forms (incluing the Atom and the Halo for example)  unique to Lancashire Rye? When were they actually put  up ...was it a  County Council decision?  Who decided exactly where they  were built or was it purely where the best views could be seen all around ?

Yeah ...The Toad lillies ( such an ugly name for such beautiful  flowers) are  in full bloom at the moment  so are easy targets when I get  stuck for subjects for OADED and haven't go much time to get out !

I think the Panopticons are unique to Lancashire, (there are four) Wayne Hemmingway is a part sponsor *Red or Dead Brand" and where built as 21st Century Landmarks around 2000ish. They are mimics to the various follies and towers that were builit by the Victorians across Lancashire/ Yorkshire and elsewhere.................
