The Porsche 356 a luxury sports car first produced by Porsche Konstruktionen GesmbH (1948–1949), and then by German company Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche GmbH (1950–1965). It was Porsche's first production automobile. The 356 is a lightweight and nimble-handling, rear-engine, rear-wheel drive, two-door, sports car available in hardtop coupé and open configurations. Engineering innovations continued during the years of manufacture, contributing to its motorsports success and popularity, of the 76,000 originally produced, approximately half survive.

Photos were taken at a local car meeting but after talking to the owner we have an evening shoot planned for sometime later this year.

Your pic reminds me of the time my VW specialist mechanic, gave me a beautiful but rather battered looking....Volkswagen Karmann Ghia....as a loan vehicle ......a sports car with a ......type 1 Beetle chassis and engine ..... exactly the same as a Beetle to drive, but a real head turner to look at.....I didn't want to give it back.

Google one to see what I mean.....very similar in looks to your photo.

Love everything VW aircooled....we had a 1966 VW Beetle for years.....then a 1970 s white one....but my favourite was my 1973 Orange and white VW Camper ......my only vehicle as a traveling Toy-Maker/Demonstrator....it was my transport, my home, our holiday and work-a-day mini-bus/van ...depending upon my diary.

Been there already Fuji and have taken a few pictures of the Karmann over the years (below from 2015) , always fancied owning one but they are getting pricey these days.
