Common Darter Dragonfly

4 out of 6 shots I took today of Common Darter Dragonflies (5858-5863, the 2 missing shots 5860, the flash didn't fire and 5861 was out of focus)

They seem fixated by this fence, I've been on numerous occassions over the last 2 years, and photographed them on this exact same fence.... At one point I got a fallen leaf, to try and push under them, it promptly lifted off and then landed on my right hand - had I not moved after a minute or so, it would probably still be there... So these are all full size, ie no crops

Thanks Kev and Roger, I just wish they weren't so fixated with this fence, as soon as they land they almost always hunker down like this. It only seems to be the Common Darter that does this. Yes, I was in close, I was that close I could actually touch them and still not have them fly away...
