At Beamish Museum there is a fabulous replica of a typical 1900s town Garage. They employed  men with the skills of blacksmiths wheelwrights. Car components were not standardised  so it seems a garage had to stock a large numbr of spare parts. I loved this shop ... it even has the smell of engine oil and grease... It's a really busy photo .... but I make no apology for that ... I spot something different each time I look at it ...

A great study Polly, your post processing helps to define the multitude of component parts,so that the eyes don't flit around too much.....instead, it encourages the viewer to take time, to take stock of a veritable Aladins cave of mechanical goodies.

Thanks gang ...  a bit of nostalgia  though I dont think any of us go back quite as far as the time that this garage was depicting . You are right Korks... great place for a BDO ... But it would entail a stopover for a few  of us ... which is fine  for me. Beepy is lucky to have it almost on his doorstep . We ought to consider it for the 2018 TIPF Spring  BDO maybe..
