Not your grandfather's rangefinder

-- but possibly Uncle Vanya's.

A couple of shots on Hackpen Hill (a good place to go test things as there are vistas and bits and pieces for closer shots -- as well as lots of Kites in the spring but not at this time of year it seems).

Taken with the Moskva-5 6x9 rangefinder, now that I think the light leaks are mostly sorted out (cf. my entry for weekly challenge 109).

Both on Pan-F+ 50, and both shot at f/5.6 and 1/50. The post was intended to check whether the rangefinder is accurate but turned out to be quite a pleasing shot. I think that the light line near the left of the second image is an internal reflection rather than a light leak as it's almost perpendicular to the direction of the Sun.

All those lines in number 2 really make the shot.  Nice one.

Thanks Kev. I nearly didn't take that one, as I thought it would be too close to the Sun for the almost 60 year old Soviet lens, but I didn't want to be left with one shot on the film.
