Another week has disappeared over the horizon faster than the proverbial blink of an eye ...so  take  a deep breath , count to ten .... and start all over again ! You have till the 21st  of August to take another photo and post it here  ... to show that, despite all the odds, we will keep going on this challenge ...No surrender folks...

I bought this old postcard for £8.00 in a local junk/ antique shop last week as I couldn't bear to leave it  in the old cardboard box on the shelf with countless other pieces of random paraphernalia. The other side of it is and embroidered  piece of material depicting   four national flags of Belgium, France, Russia and Canada. I can't read it without  wondering about this young man  and his mother . I may have to do some research ..you never know ... i might find his family  descendants  and I can return it .

Another fine crop of images - a large blob of kudos must go to Frau Klik for that superbly poignant postcard. Wouldn't it be wonderful to return it to the family?
