Never seen anything quite like this before.

Bit noisy as the old 400D was the first camera with a suitable lens attached that I could lay my hands on.

I did have to do a Google to find out what a contrail was... not sure I've seen one, maybe I have but without knowing what it was..

The regular trails are quite usual, I'm only about 20 miles from Heathrow. It's the gap made by something lower that caught my eye.

Fascinating capture there James... Almost looks like an invisible tornado ... Could it be some  kind of turbulence caused by the proximity of the previous  two planes' trails  has divided the cloud ?
