Technically its catcalls but the weather was so bl**dy rotten I might have shouted a hells bells or two at the sky.

Anyhoo - I decided t head off to The Lakes today for a wander with the camera, the dog and a new lightweight tripod I picked up recently. As you can see it rained....A LOT.
I had planned on going over Catbells then right along the ridge to Dalehead but gave up and dropped back down into the valley and back along to the car. It did stop eventually so I got a few shots around Ashness Bridge, Derwenwater and Grange.

I have brightened most of these up but they're still pretty dull - but thats what the weather was like so what can one do.

The shots are a mixture of the Fuji and iPhone.

Wow BP, this is one of the best set you have posted for some time......I can see why you used a tripod...it shows.

But the one that does it for me, is your rain-soaked-miserable, fed-up looking pooch......Fantastic?

The mono shots are great too......the first colour shot for me too.

...but I have to agree the dog looks like it is wishing you had a different hobby :1_grinning:

To be fair to him he's looking miserable because I stopped him rolling in and eating sheep crap

Well ... you really have captured the very essence of what the Lake District is very often like in a brilliant set Beepy ...Must be viewed large as Colin says ...Hats off to you for stamina too ...many would have given up long before you headed back to the sanctuary of the car. The Ashness Bridge Mono is just superb and pick of the  bunch for me,  though I  love Jasper so much that anything with him on centre stage has my vote as you know ...
