I really like this Korks ... The shadows on the winding road add interest and perspective  ... It looks a lovely walk ...and  I can practically hear the birds singing . A great place for a contemplative saunter ... And your usual processing only enhances the timeless feel to it ... Nice one Mister ...

Brutal.

The demolition of Milburngate House in Durham, only one piece of brutalist architecture left in the city now, and that's for the wrecking ball soon. Still, everywhere needs more student flats and bars. Apparently.

The machine with the long arm is pointing at where my desk used to be.

Nice of them to wait until you left the building. :1_grinning:

So that's the end of Week 13, but worry not, Week 14 will follow almost immediately.

A sizeable dollop of Kudos to Jon for a nice image, a nice back-story and a mutual feeling for brutalist architecture.

I was reminded of the time my dad (then in his mid-eighties) decided to go for a walk by the cotton mill where he'd worked and where he met and fell in love with my mum some sixty-five years earlier. As he strolled by, with memories flooding back, he noticed that work was just starting on demolishing the mill. S'est la vie.

Let's move on.
