space shuttle discovery

this was shot from a bouncy cat walk on a very busy weekend.  i couldn't use a tripod, was leaning against the rail, had to deal with being bumped and shuffled from people getting by me.  in the end i got well over 100 photos full of people milling around the shuttle.  in lightroom i edited them all exactly the same.  i had photoshop stack and align all of the photos into layers.  then using a brush (the automatic process to remove moving objects in ps didn't work) i masked out the humans until i was left with an empty museum.

A superbly crafted shot, of one of the most amazing bits of technology science has invented so far......I have followed the space program since it's earliest beginnings just post-war.

To see video of the shuttle gliding to land safely as it does still amazes me.
