reflections

I like reflections Danny and this shot works, up to a point.......the line of the water's edge cuts your composition almost exactly in half horizontally ........ Where to crop, or to see a composition in your viewfinder, prior to pressing the shutter is always difficult.

The rule of thirds is a good place to start, then, once you have that established and internalised, you can begin to bend, or even break the rules, but your subject matter must be considered very carefully.

I think the rule of thirds HAS been applied here, if you read from left to right. The 'halfway split' for the reflection suits the subject perfectly. My only beef is that the reflection of what's above the waterline is incomplete, i.e. most of the greenery is missing, but that's just a quibble really.
