I forgot all about the camera in my recently acquired iPhone 5 S .....until just now that is.....I thought I would see what it could do.

Our Victorian house was built in 1877, just a two-up-two-down with an attic bedroom in the roof, we moved in to be next door to the ageing parents of my good lady...........then after their passing she inherited half with her brother.

He was happy to sell his half so we were able to combine both into one reasonable family home for our family of five, ideal as our brood became teenagers.

We decided to retain a few of the most interesting features, the main one being this, the original Kitchen Range, which still functions perfectly; we sometimes fire it up on high days and holidays especially during winter.

Even in the 1950s it was never allowed to go out, and was used for most cooking and a constant supply of hot water, I know it ought to be in a museum, but we have room to keep it, so we do.

Coming back to the photograph, I think the iPhone camera has done its stuff? .....I am very impressed.
