Froggy noises.....

Took the girls to a different walking spot this morning, and took this little video so you can hear our current frog sounds - the loud 'bonky ones' are Eastern Banjo Frogs, which we have a lot of after our rain. They are also known as Pobblebonks - I wonder why!! The 'squeaky creaky' ones are brown tree fogs, quite common, and, if you listen carefully there are two Growling Grass Frog calls in there - sounds like a long low groan. These are an endangered species, so we won't be letting on where we found them  :D

Enjoy the noise!!

Thanks all - the pobblebonks are even louder in the evening, and we certainly have more around than we have had for a few years - result of our recent 'rain events'.

Great stuff! I love these little insights into your life in Oz, that lake looks a super place to sit and just 'be'.

Korky, as you would know from many previous posts we do live in a pretty harsh environment, BUT, if you take the time to look around, you do find beauty, and you have to learn to appreciate that. This is not a very 'scenic spot', but it is very quiet, away in the bush and a nice place to walk the girls :D

Roger -- being able to appreciate and 'get close to' our wildlife is one of the reasons we 'live where we live' - we are not 'townies'!!
