Narrowboat on the Lea

I think it s a great capture and the cat makes it Dennis.

Saying that to my eye the image in the mid and shadow tones are very flat, I suspect that when trying to lift them the sky detail started to blow out, there is alway a way around this depending on the software you are using.

I agree with all that's been said - a super image that's let down a bit by the processing.

I love the composition and the cat just finishes it off perfectly.

I use Silver Efex too and it's well worth the effort of getting grips with its intricacies.

Saw it earlier on my iPad Denis and registered a  like .... had to dash out for a medical  over in Wolverhampton so hadn't time to comment  but agree with Beepy and others  regarding  it being a bit dark  at first ... Fabulous use of perspective  making a really  imposing  statement  and  a beautifully balanced composition with an interest in foreground and the trees peeking above the roof of the boat  softens the very long line of that roof . It all works for me ...Like it a lot ...
