Pinhole Camera Effect

Recommended Posts

A while back, I had a go at making a pinhole camera from my DSLR.  Ordered a spare Camera cap,  pushed a needle through the centre of the cap, screwed it on and with no lens, took this image. Added a bit of a 70's retro theme to it. Just for fun but something different. Has anyone else tried the effect?

Being totally and utterly hung up on sharpness I couldn't bring myself to try it, think I need to lighten up a little and venture beyond my comfort zone.

Uncanny choice of subject...

This was an actual pinhole camera I made in the 70s. A cube of black card rubber-banded to a cassette of Instamatic 126 film, a needle hole in the front and a piece of black card as a shutter (removed for 30 seconds if I remember?). This was the result, which I developed and printed myself:
