Ooh I've just found these comments ... Kev must have been   trawling cos  I posted it  a year ago  without any response ...odd how some stuff just slips under the radar  

Thanks for the nice comments ... BUT    sorry to disappoint Fooj and Beepy  ... this wasn't taken in my garden .... it's down the road a few miles away this one ... I do  have a fair bit of garden  though and  quite a large pond at the bottom of it  Beepy ... it's just  under an acre  in size ...and it's divided into 4 different parts  ... a courtyard garden ,  . a patio and summerhouse garden at the back  , a  front garden and  a secret side garden leading down to the wooded area and the pond .. Thanks Kate .... I  have had a giggle  about it suddenly  reaing its head a year later though ...  drat ... it won't qualify as a contender now  for POTW  .
