Across the Field

Jean & I popped over to see my parents yesterday and on the way we had reason to stop off at the Cople Sports & Social Club. This view is looking from the village of Cople back towards Cardington.

Some of you may recall that Cardington was the home of the doomed airship R101, and the resting place of all those killed in the crash and there are still two massive sheds ('sheds' for airships and 'hangers' for aircraft) that dominate the countryside on that side of Bedford.

I didn't want the sheds in this shot so was pleased that I couldn't see them when I lined up the shot.

The water in the foreground isn't a stream but the leftovers of the local flooding.

Glad you like it peeps! I think this is the first time I've photographed this end of the village.....and I lived there for 10 years!
